Lakewood Mountain Resort opened its doors in 1923. It was
built by Emmett Bromo, one of California's most successful coal miners. The original hotel
building is still standing: a small, rustic structure with only a single room, it
enables
vacationers to enjoy a closeness that is lacking in more traditional resort hotels. |
